Yoyo #7 in the 52 fixed Fridays project is a yoyo created from multi directional birch plywood. The material for this project was from cutoffs from a dining table that I made for my brother, Kyle. I cut the plywood into strips, glued them all together, then cut this blocks into strips and glued them up at a 90 degree angle, alternating each layer. This is also the first video of the project on Instagram, and I think I will be using more video in the future, the whole plywood thing, who knows.   Colin

Yoyo number 6 in the 52 fixed Friday’s series is a wooden yoyo modeled after the Shutter, signature yoyo is Gentry Stein. He was going to visit Portland for a few days before the contest in Seattle on the 23rd, but thanks to our wildly inaccurate weather forecasts that called for several inches of snow, he cancelled the trip. Sad. One of the aspects of this 52 yoyo project is to make “homage” yoyos for people who inspire me in one way or another.
